Organizational Strengthening for Social Transformation (OSST) project is from 2014 to 2018 August in in Chukun, Chingad Rural Municipalities, and Panchapuri, Bheriganga, Lekhabesi and Gurbakota Municipalities, The main objective of this project was to increase the accesses on Local resources and Promoting the modern agriculture.
Major outcomes achieved:
•Chaukune and Baraha Rural municipality have allocated budget NRs 100000 and 50000 for forestry nursery as result two forestry nursery has developed parmanentely and 4000 sapling of Retha and Moring has distributed and now that sapling are take caring by the CGs members
.
•10 Community forest, 30 Drinking water sources has been clean and preserving by ISS CGs group in Old VDC Matel, Awalching, Ranibash,Rajena, Neta, Dahachaur, Lekhaprajul, Taranga, Chappre and Ghatagu.
• Because of ISS facilitation in CGs some of CGs has taken loan from the CGs and purchased buffalo and now group members selling milk. Because of this Group fund is increasing day by day and now the ISS groups have the fund of NRs 74,43,825.00 saving. Group members are taking loan from the group with annual interest rate of 12% to run the small business such as buffalo and vegetable farming.
•Because of meeting facilitation by ISS, recently 40 groups from 10 VDCs were registered at District Agriculture Development Office (DADO) and 24 groups have renewed their certificate from DADO.
•Three groups from Chhapre VDC has received NRs 128,000 amount from VDC to purchase pipe for water supply and they are getting regular water.
•Within the 10 month project period, ISS has completed book keeping training, printing books of receipts distribute to CGs and as result 221 group members has directly benefited and they are improving saving and credit system of CGs and MCs
•Mentoring and follow up visits, facilitation support to Main Committee (MC),
